Philip Palmer

Philip Palmer is a tutor on Screen Yorkshire's SPARK scriptwriting scheme for new and emerging writers which kicked off on 12 October, with the first writers residential weekend in Hebden Bridge. Philip is an accomplished scriptwriter and author and has his new novel, Debatable Space, coming soon (January 2008). Other credits include, The Bill, Taggart and Wah Wah featuring Richard E.Grant.

Shai Hussain

Shai is presently one of Screen Yorkshire's SPARK screenwriting scheme entrants, developing Raj, a period drama set in India 1792. Past script projects include Til Jihad Do Us Part, a black comedy set in Manchester, The Divine Right, an epic adventure set in Mesopotamia 251 B.C. and Utopia, an adult animated sitcom set on a tiny multiracial planet on the other side of the universe. Shai has just graduated from an MA in Screenwriting from Leeds Metropolitan University and is working on multiple group and solo projects.

 

Jez Gee

Jez Gee Jez is a writer/director currently working on his first short film under Screen Yorkshire's Digital Shorts Caught Shorter Scheme. A graduate in Broadcast Journalism from Leeds University, in the past he has worked as a journalist, editor and advert director. He has also worked on several programmes for the BBC, including Fame Academy and the ‘comedy' My Family. Jez is currently working doing various impermanent jobs to fund his ever increasing production slate.
