Are you on The List? Screen Yorkshire to give trainee opportunities on latest blockbusters

Read about The List 2013 trainees

The List
is an exciting new opportunity for up to 30 Yorkshire-based trainees to gain paid work placements in film and high-end TV within Yorkshire and Humber in 2013. Screen Yorkshire is looking for exceptionally talented individuals who want to build a career in specific work grades:

  • Camera
  • Hair and Make-Up
  • Art Department
  • Wardrobe and Costume
  • Production Runner
  • Production Sound

Applicants accepted on to The List will take part in an intensive two day induction course led by industry experts, before being put forward for production placements. Placements will usually last for a minimum of four weeks and the majority of placements will be on productions financed by Screen Yorkshire through its Yorkshire Content Fund. Find out more about such productions. Screen Yorkshire may also source additional placements from other productions filming within Yorkshire and Humber.

Please note that gaining a place on The List does not guarantee a placement. The List forms a register from which trainees can be put forward to Production Companies who will then interview and select trainees according to what opportunities they are able to offer.

Trainees who are successful in gaining a placement will receive a salary for each week of their placement, 70% of which will be paid by Screen Yorkshire and the remainder by the host company.

Trainee Guidelines

The List is funded by Creative Skillset's Craft and Technical Skills Academy as part of ‘A Bigger Future 2’, the UK film skills strategy. It has been modelled on their national Trainee Placement Scheme which places film trainees in paid work on UK productions.
