HUSH
HUSH - (Warp X) shot in Sheffield and the East Midlands in 2007, supported by Screen Yorkshire's production fund. It is the feature film debut from writer/director Mark Tonderai and the third film to shoot from Warp X's production slate. The taut suspense thriller tracks a deadly game of cat and mouse on a deserted motorway, when Zakes Abbot's girlfriend disappears at a service station shortly after he narrowly avoids a collision with a truck. Hush is out now on DVD.Zakes and Beth drive home along the M1, a familiar journey full of harshly lit service stations and bad coffee. When a white truck narrowly avoids hitting them, its back doors open to reveal a woman terrified and screaming caged up inside. When Zakes' girlfriend disappears at a service station shortly after, what follows is a deadly game of cat-and-mouse on a deserted motorway with a ruthless killer who has terrifying plans for his human cargo.

HUSH stars Will Ash (Until Death, Nicholas Nickleby, Fanny & Elvis) and Christine Bottomley (The Waiting Room, Sea of Souls) with supporting roles for Andreas Wisniewski (Die Hard), Claire Keelan (Pierrepoint) and Stuart McQuarrie (Young Adam). Hush has sold internationally at the AFM to ten territories including Brazil and South Korea. International sales for Hush are handled by Pathé International.
Hush was the third film to shoot on the Warp X low-budget feature slate, which is supported by Screen Yorkshire in partnership with the UK Film Council's New Cinema Fund, Film4, EM Media and Optimum Releasing. Other films on the slate include Chris Waitt's comic documentary A Complete History of my Sexual Failures, Olly Blackburn's hedonism-gone-wrong thriller Donkey Punch and the first feature from Mighty Boosh director Paul King, Bunny and the Bull. FearFactory are the first outside equity investor to join a film under the scheme.
