Wild Child

Wild ChildWILD CHILD - (Working Title Films) shot in Robin Hood's Bay, Haworth & Harrogate throughout July 2007, supported by Screen Yorkshire's production liaison team. The feature film tells the tale of a rebellious Malibu princess shipped off to a strict English boarding school by her father. The cast is led by up and coming young American actress Emma Roberts (niece of Julia). Filmmakers drafted in local school children to take the roles of extras. The film was released in Spring 2008.

WILD CHILD tells the comic story of a rebellious American teenager who, after numerous warnings by her father, is sent to a strict all-girls boarding school in the U.K. in an attempt to straighten out her behaviour.

Road closures have been achieved with ease and the police and council have been brilliant.''

Starring alongside Emma Roberts are Natasha Richardson, Shirley Henderson and Aidan Quinn. WILD CHILD marks the directorial debut of Nick Moore and is produced by Tim Bevan, Eric Fellner and Diana Phillips. The film is written by Daisy Donovan and Lucy Dahl.

Nick Frost, Alex Pettyfer, Selina Cadell, Daisy Donovan and Jason Watkins also star. Alongside Roberts playing her fellow classmates are Georgia King, Kimberley Nixon, Juno Temple, Linzey Cocker, Sophie Wu, Ruby Thomas and Eleanor Turner-Moss.

WILD CHILD is distributed by Universal Pictures in North America and in all other territories by Universal Pictures Internationaland is now available to buy on DVD from all major outlets.
