Killer Sounds for Pit Stop Productions (20/02/2009)

Pit Stop Productions has recently celebrated the commercial and critical success of its script, music and sound effects for SEGA's Wii shooter House of the Dead: Overkill.

Games developer Kuju selected Pit Stop to provide the script, sound design and voice production, as a "one stop shop" for audio services.

"Because we were asked to produce the script as well as the music voice and sound design for House of the Dead, we were able to make sure that the audio was an integrated part of the game - the feel of the music, the voices, the sound design, they all fit together," said Managing Director of Pit Stop, John Sanderson.

Reviews have been overwhelmingly postive for the game, with Yorkshire-based Pit Stop's audio skill specifically referred to by numerous reviews, including Eurogamer, who said that HOTD:O's music "is surely a soundtrack of the year candidate; note-perfect parodies of vintage funk and rockabilly, with thumping, dirty electro remixes for the boss battles."
