Game Republic is an organisation that develops, funds and promotes the Yorkshire games industry. As well as being a great place to live and work, this north of England county boasts one of the world's top-performing regions for games development, with such talented companies as Rockstar Leeds, Sumo Digital, Team 17, Tuna Technologies and Revolution Software within our borders.

At Game Republic our sole aim is to create more games business for Yorkshire, hosting regular networking events, investing in games projects, supporting companies with PR and marketing, assisting companies travelling to international events and more.

We're also passionate about creating better links between academia and the industry, with past events including "AI & Avatars" in association with the University of Bradford and the hugely successful Student Showcase, this year taking place at Sheffield Hallam University.

In 2007, Game Republic was fully integrated into Screen Yorkshire, allowing the games sector in the region access to Screen Yorkshire's strategic investment funds.
