Bursaries available for Directing Your First Feature course (14/02/2011)
Bradford City of Film is delighted to be able to offer 4 bursaries to filmmakers wanting to attend the Raindance “Directing Your First Feature” course on the 19th and 20th of March. These bursaries will cover the full cost of the attendee’s place on the course. For the full detail on the course, read the full article.
Applicants must be from the Bradford district. In order to apply, applicants must have directed, written or produced at least one short film. CVs and links to online showreels or other work must be included. In addition, applicants should identify one feature film idea that they’d like to make and a brief statement as to what they hope to achieve by attending the weekend course. Applications for the bursaries need to be submitted to Alissa Juvan at Fabric by Wednesday, 23rd February, at 5 pm.
By applying for a bursary, applicants will also be considered for an exclusive place on Screen Yorkshire’s “Pitch Factor” scheme, which will offer coaching in project development and pitching skills. It includes a workshop in early March, online consultation with industry professionals, and a weekend of pitching masterclasses on the 26th and 27th of March at the University of Bradford. The Pitch Factor culminates in participants pitching to a panel where the best pitch will win a £500 prize.
