DCI BANKS RETURNS FOR A BRAND NEW SERIES – ITV 1, FRIDAYS, 9PM (20/09/2011)
Following the ratings success of series 1, Aftermath, Stephen Tompkinson and Andrea Lowe are back as the tenacious and stubborn detective Chief Inspector Alan Banks and the feisty and headstrong DS Annie Cabbot in a brand new six-part series of DCI Banks on ITV 1. Adapted from the best selling novels by Peter Robinson, DCI Banks filmed on location throughout West Yorkshire supported by Screen Yorkshire 's production liaison team.
Three stories are each told over two 60-minute episodes which will screen on consecutive Fridays at 9pm on ITV 1; Playing with Fire, Friend of the Devil and Cold as the Grave.
In Playing with Fire two bodies are found after a fire on some narrow boats and Banks and DS Annie Cabbot find themselves on the trail of an arsonist who has killed two people.
In Friend of the Devil a young student is attacked in the middle of the city and in another part of Yorkshire a woman has her throat cut, but the two different murders have disturbing similarities.
Cold is the Grave is a case terrifyingly close
