Ben Wheatley’s horror Kill List, the latest feature to emerge from Warp X, had its European Premiere on Sunday 3rd July at the Karlovy Vary International Film Festival in the Czech Republic. Kill List, filmed in the region with backing from Screen Yorkshire, screened within the festival’s prestigious Variety Critics' Choice program, curated in collaboration with European Film Promotion (EFP), which aims to showcase European films by first and second-time directors notable for their freshness, invention and passion.

Described by Variety as ‘’a richly textured psychological thriller…seamlessly morphing from gritty crime tale to atmospheric horror pic.’’ esteemed critic Peter Debruge awarded Kill List an impressive 4 stars (out of 4!) following the screening on Sunday. There will be a second opportunity for audiences to see Kill List at the film festival on 7th July. Kill List, released at cinemas in the UK on 2nd September 2011, had its world premiere at SXSW in Austin, Texas in March 2011, where it was widely acclaimed by critics.
