For the past 23 years MezzoFilms has stood strong as one of Yorkshire's largest and busiest production companies. Following on from this success the business has developed and diversified into exciting new areas. MezzoGroup is now a major player as a creative content agency, providing media content solutions to a wide range of clients nationally and internationally. MezzoGroup is a group of inter-related companies producing fit for purpose content across a variety of media.In addition to MezzoFilms other group companies include Animation and Motion Graphics specialists Peco Motion, Bespoke Music Composition - Spike and Music Promo Company Poison Pen.  In addition to the group companies Mezzo has its own post production facilities with 5 edit suites plus an audio and sound studio complete with ISDN facilities.

Here is a little taster of what's been happening at Mezzo over the past few months.

MezzoFilms has been producing a range of video content for ASDA for 20 years and for the past 6 years amongst others projects we have been running a Satellite Business TV Channel called Everyone Matters TV (EMTV). The channel is a major part of their internal communications for colleagues and so much so Mezzo are always looking at new opportunities to make the channel shine! MezzoFilms have recently re formatted their weekly news programme which features senior executives focussing the efforts of stores. ‘Talking Shop' which was launched a few weeks ago has taken a more magazine approach and is presented by ASDA colleagues from around the business highlighting sales opportunities and sharing best practice to its 128,000 colleagues across 380 stores.

directNational TV Campaign for Direct Holidays
Repeat business is the key to MezzoFilms success and Leeds agency Outside the Box can vouch for this. Following collaboration with the agency last year producing a series of virals and cinema commercials for their client Direct Holidays, MezzoFilms were commissioned earlier this year to produce the latest National TV Commercial. The agency created ‘The Direct Effect' campaign: the optimum combination of Direct Holidays features and benefits. Direct Holidays wanted to get across that they understand that what's important in finding the perfect holiday is different for different people.Filmed in several glorious international locations, the commercial captures the idyllic feeling sheer holiday bliss, whether you are a couple in your twenties, a family with young children and a more mature couple enjoying the finer things in life.The Commercial was broadcast across a number of channels during May of this year and achieved great success for the client. The company have received lots of recognition for the work they have produced at numerous awards ceremonies over the years and this year has been no exception! Earlier this year MezzoFilms in partnership with Peco Motion won an IVCA award for a film called ‘What does an innovator actually do?' produced for regional development agency, Yorkshire Forward. In June the same project won a Royal Television Society Yorkshire Award for Best Promotion or Commercial Production. Also at the Royal Television Society Awards, Spike won the award for Best Music for the score produced for ‘The Queen in 3-D' which was broadcast on Channel 4 earlier this year. The awards success not only confirms what great work the Mezzo Group companies are producing but demonstrates the excellent skills and dedication their teams have.
