LOCATION FOCUS - ROBIN HOOD AIRPORT DONCASTER SHEFFIELD (22/12/2010)

Robin Hood Airport Doncaster Sheffield (DSA) is the UK's newest purpose built international airport. Flights took off in April 2005 from the site of the former RAF Finningley air base, home to a brand new terminal and one of the UK's longest runways. Situated right in the heart of the Yorkshire and Humber region, the airport is well connected with great parking facilities and easily accessible by road from all the major cities in the region; just 7 miles from Doncaster and 25 miles from Sheffield.

come-fly-with-meRobin Hood Airport has hosted a range of television production in recent years, most recently, Come Fly With Me, a comedy series set in a busy airport and on the departing and arriving flights, featuring characters played by Matt Lucas and David Walliams. Come Fly With Me  (A Little Britain Production/BBC Productions for BBC) airs on BBC One on Xmas Day 2010 at 10pm.
