Media Trust launch mentoring scheme in Leeds & Bradford (14/09/2011)

Media Trust's Youth Mentoring scheme enables media professionals to share their skills and experience with disadvantaged 13-25 year olds working on media projects. It's an opportunity to use your expertise to help unlock young people's potential and at the same time develop your skills, including communication and leadership. You'll gain a sense of personal achievement and reward and understand more about the issues young people face.

The scheme works on a range of projects from photography and film-making to magazine design and journalism. There is a high demand for mentors across the Leeds and Bradford areas in particular those with skills in DV camera operation, scriptwriting, directing, producing, editing, journalism, radio production, and publication design.

If you have practical media skills, the ability to offer inspiration and encouragement, at least a few hours of free time, and an interest in working with young people then Media Trust Youth Mentoring is a fantastic opportunity.
