PULSE: SEEKING FILMMAKERS WITH A GOOD EYE FOR MUSIC (27/07/2011)
Leading integrated content production company, Pulse Films is launching a New Talent Search in association with Vision Sound Music. If you're a student in Film Making or Animation and you're either coming up to your final year of a B.A. or diploma, or you're a postgraduate student, Pulse wants to hear from you. Pulse is particularly keen to hear from film makers with a great sense of how to use music with moving images.
To enter, email a Vimeo or YouTube links to between one and four pieces of your work. In the email, each piece of work should be accompanied by a brief explanation revealing the story behind the piece, the techniques used and a list of credits. Timeline
Closing date for the New Talent Search is Friday 12th August and the shortlist will be announced on Monday 22nd August and the winners announced on Friday 26th August.
The Prizes
The winner of the 2011 VSM Pulse Talent Competition will secure representation with Pulse Films. 2nd and 3rd placed prize winners will be invited for a 2 week work placement at Pulse Films. The top 3 picked will win three free tickets each (one for the film maker, and two friends) to VSM How2 on Saturday 3rd September.
Pulse Films, Fallon and a panel of experts will be critiquing the best of the entries at their session at VSM How 2 - so even if you don't win, there'll be an opportunity for professional feedback.
