New business models for drama - Ed Sharp, Film Tree

Ed Sharp from Film Tree (who have recently announced their partnership with UK Film Council) talks about brokering partnerships between producers and distributors who are looking for sources of funding and brands and their agencies who are looking for opportunities to engage consumers with branded entertainment. Ed has spent the major part of his career working in big international advertising agencies and during the last fifteen years has largely focused on working with the major US film distributors, developing marketing partnerships with major international brands. He was responsible for a wide number of international brand partnerships with film, such as Ford's involvement in the last two James Bond movies, DHL's global partnership with Mission Impossible 3, and Castrol's on-going partnership with the Fast & Furious franchise. This video is one of a series of highlights recorded at Screen Yorkshire's session on finding alternative sources of finance for drama, which took place in Sheffield in April 2010.
