Built in 1853, Oakwell Hall in Birstall is an Elizabethan manor house set in 100 acres of country park. Furnished as a family home in the 1690s, it  offers a real insight into a post-English Civil War household. The house has delighted visitors for centuries, including Charlotte Bronte. It is a popular filming location, hosting BBC dramas such as Jonathan Strange and Mr Norrell (BBC),The Secret Diaries of Miss Anne Lister (BBC) and Wuthering Heights (ITV).

As such, he has an excellent knowledge of Yorkshire’s diverse range of locations and the logistics of filming in them.
