Heartwarming upcycling series filmed at North Light Film Studios

Saved & Remade features a group of highly skilled ‘re-makers’ who are enlisted to transform people’s treasured but purposeless belongings into beautiful and functional items. From wedding dresses to old cars – the series truly has something for everyone. The series, which is hosted by the charming Sabrina Grant, features three unique transformations each episode which demonstrate the remakers’ expertise in carpentry, upholstery, metalwork, leather-making, jewellery, mechanics, textile design and sculpture.

The often emotive series shows the power of transformation as sentimental items are given new and creative leases of life.

North Light Studios provided the ideal space to safely create our Saved & Remade workshops. The team at NLS were accommodating and flexible and the site provided us with everything we needed during filming.

The series was made by Glasgow based production company Red Sky Productions for BBC2 and filmed in Huddersfield’s North Light Film Studios. Having completed the shoot from September-December 2020, it is a successful example of safe filming during the Covid19 pandemic.
