Synopses: As World War I rages on, Dr Henry Guthrie takes over a British choral society that has lost most of its men to the army. With the country consumed by conflict and grief, Guthrie and the remaining members of the choir — women, older men and boys — discover that the best response to the chaos of war is to come together and make beautiful music. Through rehearsal, performance and shared purpose, the choir becomes a powerful symbol of hope, solidarity and endurance during one of the most turbulent periods in British history.
