Yorkshire Content Fund

The Yorkshire Content Fund is a public-private investment fund for the TV, film, video games and digital sectors in Yorkshire and Humber, open to producers either based in Yorkshire or wishing to film or establish a base in the region.

Managed by Screen Yorkshire, the YCF can invest from £10,000 to £500,000 in individual film or TV dramas. We normally invest no more than 10% of the total production budget and our investment must be matched on identical terms with an equivalent amount of private sector investment.

Investments are made on market rate commercial terms, with the intention that investment returns will produce a legacy fund to support content development and production in Yorkshire for many years to come.

Since it launched in February 2012 we have already invested in more than 35 film & TV projects and we are now actively looking for new feature film, TV, games and digital projects to add to our existing slate of productions that includes:

Dad’s Army, The Hunter’s Prayer, Swallows and Amazons, The Railway Children, Dark Angel, Black Work, The Great Train Robbery, Peaky Blinders, Jonathan Strange and Mr Norrell, Testament Of Youth, A Royal Night Out, Get Santa, Hank Zipzer, X + Y, I Want That Car, Death Comes to Pemberley, Pulp: A Film About Life, Death & Supermarkets, Catch Me Daddy, Jamaica Inn, Bill and ’71.

The fund is open to applications but all applicants must complete an Expression of Interest (EOI) form prior to completing a full application. If you have a project looking for investment please complete the Expression of Interest form in the ‘Apply Here’ section above. Please ensure the declaration at the bottom of the form is signed.

We accept EOIs on a rolling basis. We will then contact you to advise on whether we recommend progressing the application and what further information we will require to assist us in evaluating your project formally.
