Established as one of nine regional screen agencies by the UK Film Council in 2002, Screen Yorkshire is a standalone company with two decades of experience and expertise behind it.
We launched our first production fund in 2003 and have since invested in iconic British films from the BAFTA-award-winning This is England and Dad’s Army, to more recently, The Duke, Ali & Ava and A Bunch of Amateurs, through our Yorkshire Content Fund. We have also financed a wide range of TV dramas, from the iconic Peaky Blinders to The Confessions of Frannie Langton, launching on ITV next week.
Screen Yorkshire has also been working behind the scenes to build a diverse, inclusive workforce to support filming in Yorkshire, through delivering ground-breaking skills and training programmes. Our Talent Development programmes for writers, directors and producers are helping to build a new generation of home-grown storytellers. Screen Yorkshire’s region wide Film Office, run by industry experts, supports productions from all over the world to film in Yorkshire, from The Witcher and Emily, to Bridgerton and The Railway Children Return.
